John Ukenye has dedicated much of his life to public service, from working in the nonprofit sector to leading volunteer organizations. He currently serves as a Pennsylvania Democratic State Committee member representing Allegheny County and  has been an active local Democratic Committee member for over five years. Most recently, he served as President of the Young Democrats of Allegheny County from 2022 to 2024, where he helped grow the organization into the largest and most active chapter in Pennsylvania.
